We had a spectacular rainbow over the mountains when we drove into the park for the first time. It was absolute magic.

It would have been nice to know more about camp before arriving. We knew there would be bathrooms but not how many. We didn’t know we would be sharing camp with other tent campers. And we didn’t know water and power would go down between 11-7. None would have been dealbreakers, just nice to know!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Use trekking poles!!! They are so useful For saving your legs on multi-day hikes. Have very comfortable hiking boots that are waterproof!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I’ve been dreaming of this trip for a decade. It exceeded all expectations.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Our guide, Santiago, from Chile Nativo was excellent! We loved him!
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
It was unclear how much we should tip our private guide for a 5 day trek. It would have been nice to prepare with more pesos but we ended up giving USD.
