We help over 1,000 people a year organise incredible Patagonian experiences. Our exclusive focus on this corner of the world means that whatever kind of adventure you're looking for, we can help. We've got the knowledge, relationships and experience to help you plan a trip that matches your dreams, budget and appetite for adventure.
What Our Customers Think
We're proud to have helped over 2500 people experience Patagonia since we launched over 5 years ago. Here's what some of our customers have to say about us:
We're Patagonia ambassadors, and want you to discover Patagonia because, alongside Antarctica, it's our favourite place in the world.
Here's why we're different:
1. We know Patagonia
We lived and worked in Patagonia long before our Swoop days, and we still visit every year. We only help people with extraordinary Patagonian experiences, because it's a region we're passionate about.
What this means for you:
We can give you advice and personal recommendations for where to go, where to stay and what to do. If you happen to be in the area (UK folk - we're in central Bristol), you can even pop into our office for a cup of tea and look our wonderful wall of maps.
2. We work with a network of over 100 local partners
Through our family of kayaking, horse riding, hiking and cruise partners, we've got the whole of Patagonia covered - no one else offers you such incredible regional knowledge. We know all our partners' specialisms and strengths and we can match them up with your needs and budget.
What this means for you:
We'll listen to what you want from your trip and we'll suggest an itinerary, trip or place to stay based on your exact requirements. We rarely arrange the same experience twice. Plus, because we work directly with partners in Patagonia, your money goes to the local community.
3. We'll help you arrange your trip in a way that suits you
You can book your entire, personalised trip with us; we can recommend activity partners so you can book trips directly with them; we can help you book a lodge or hotel from which to explore; or we can match you up with a group tour. Whatever help you need with your trip arrangements, we can also provide advice and support when you're planning your trip, because we know that creating the perfect itinerary is so important.
What this means for you:
Whether you just want us by your side, giving impartial advice along the way, or taking the reins and arranging everything for you, we'll help you plan and book your perfect trip.

We're a small team of Patagonia enthusiasts. Most of us have lived and worked in Patagonia long before our Swoop days, and we still visit every year.
Between us we enjoy mountain biking, wildlife spotting, trail running, bird watching, adventure racing and generally exploring the great outdoors. When we're not exploring Patagonia, we love nothing more than talking to people who are planning their own adventure.
Lake District & Bespoke Trip Specialist
Sally is a true lover of Patagonia with the lakes & mountains top of her list. Having worked as an English teacher and Tour leader in Chile and Argentina for 8 years, she has a diverse knowledge of Patagonia.
Sally has hiked and cycled throughout Patagonia for work and pleasure, and loves to end every trip with a juicy steak in Buenos Aires.
Trekking, Mountaineering & Cycling Specialist
Whilst working in the remote Patagonian region of Aysen, Harriet discovered trekking, the great outdoors and her future husband. She later spent two and half years biking and mountaineering throughout the Andes.
Harriet joined the Swoop team in 2014 and on her most recent visit to Torres del Paine and El Chalten she checked out both the traditional hiking trails and some off the beaten track trails.
Chloe joined Swoop as a temporary personal assistant, but became increasingly enticed in by the excitement, adventure and diverse wildlife of Patagonia, and officially became Swoop's wildlife specialist in April 2015!
Chloe visited Patagonia in 2016 and was mesmerised by the rugged beauty, mysterious peaks and intimidating glaciers. She was even lucky enough to see 5 pumas in one day!
Luke fell in love with Patagonia when he first trekked through the Andes some 15 years ago. In 2010 he founded Swoop Patagonia and since then has trekked, ridden and paddled thousands of miles throughout the region.
On his last visit Luke climbed to within 500m of the summit of Aconcagua and ran a 3 day ultra-marathon around the volcanoes of northern Patagonia.
How Can We Help You?
We'll provide our expert advice during the early stages of your trip planning, to help you decide where to go and what to do. Once we've worked together to create your perfect itinerary, we'll help you in one of the following ways:
1. Design and book a tailor-made itinerary
A great option if you want a personalised trip or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The possibilities are endless!
We've been exploring Patagonia's national parks and visiting its lodges and hotels for over 15 years. We know Patagonia better than any other travel company and we work with all the best operators, flight providers, hotels and luxury lodges. We take enormous pleasure in listening to your dreams for your trip and then helping you plan and arrange a wonderful holiday.
2. Choose an activity trip
Such as a hiking group, glacier cruise, kayak trip or horse trek
We listen to your requirements, talk you through options and help you decide on the right type of trip. We can even create a trip ourselves if one isn't available. Then we'll introduce you to the partner we think will suit you best, so you can book directly with them. We'll still be here if you need us, but you'll be in good hands with our recommended partner, who will arrange all the details of your trip.
3. Pick the right lodge, hotel, yurt or eco dome
We've been staying at Patagonia's hotels since before our Swoop days. We know the most comfortable lodges, authentic estancias and convivial yurts.
Many hotels and lodges are based in the heart of a national park, offering wonderful views and excellent cuisine. By day, you'll have your pick of excursions with experienced guides. Whatever you're looking for, we'll help you find the right base from which to discover Patagonia.
4. Find a group tour to join
Group tours range from luxury to rugged, overland trips. They are typically for 2 to 3 weeks and explore all the main sites, with a fixed departure date.
We work with all the best tour operators and have hand-picked our favourite tours. We know which tours will help you make the best of your time, whether that's visiting the highlights or going off the beaten track.
How We Make Our Money
The price you pay for booking with us is no more and no less than if you were to book directly with our local partner (such as a lodge, activity provider or tour operator) in Chile or Argentina, whether you're booking a single hiking trip, joining a group tour or arranging a 4 week bespoke itinerary for your whole family.
We help our partners to market themselves and their trips, activities and accommodation to the international market; so when we introduce you to them and you book an activity trip directly, they pay us a small commission, and when you arrange your tailor-made trip with us, we are able to negotiate better rates with our partners and charge a small mark-up, to cover our time. Either way, the price you pay through us is the same as you would pay by going direct, and you'll benefit from our free, impartial and expert advice.
