Overall, how was your trip?

The highlight of the trip was the wildlife. Just being in their land knowing that you are just visiting is an experience beyond words.

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

Patagonia is a magical land that has been forgotten by time.

How were your wildlife encounters?

This trip is amazing! It can't be explained in words what it feels like. Patagonia is still a wild place that the modern world has not caught up to. The eco system is pristine with apex predators all around. You know that this is their land and you are only a visitor, it is a feeling like no other. The guide was excellent and more importantly has a true passion for what he does. He was just as excited as us to be seeing these animals. I do have some critiques on the accommodations. Specifically the quality of the tent I stayed in. The test had some mess windows that I assume are meant to for venting, but there is no additional cover for these windows during the night. This meant that cold air comes into the tent all night long. It was uncomfortable to sleep at night like this. I would recommended adding a way to cover these vents at night.

How likely is it that you would recommend this trip to a friend? (where 0 = Not at all likely, 5 = Neutral, 10 = Extremely Likely)

If you received our guide to Santiago before you travelled, what did you think of it? For instance (but not limited to):

Is there anything you would recommend we change to make trips like yours more environmentally sustainable?

I found recycling options limited the refugio. It would be nice to have a place for that. A few times our driver would drive back and forward from Puerto Natales to the park everyday. I think its much more sustainable is the driver remains and sleeping in the campground with us rather than drive an additional ~200km each day.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Be ready for all kinds of weather!
