Operator's Itinerary
Day 1 We will meet at the Stubenrauch dock at 07:30 where we'll board with the kayaks on the "21 de Mayo" boat that will take us to Mount Balmaceda, where the glaciers of Balmaceda and Serrano come from. During a 3 hour trip across the Ultima Esperanza Fjiord we'll observe historical sites, fauna and geography that characterize Patagonia. Finally we arrive at Puerto Toro, in the Bernado O'Higgins National Park (the biggest in the country) where we'll prepare camp & have our lunch. Once we've set up camp we'll begin with safety & paddling instructions to prepare us for our journey via kayak to the Balmaceda Glacier through the Ultima Esperanza fjiord, with its waterfalls and cliffs (3 hrs approx). On returning we'll enjoy the sunset on the fjiord whilst the guide will prepare dinner at the campsite.
Day 2 Early, we will start the day with a nutritious breakfast, after which we'll carry the kayaks 100 metres. We will enter the lagoon of the Serrano Glacier, where in between icebergs we'll open a pass to be able to enjoy the morning light in front of the Serrano glacier until 11:00am. On exiting the lagoon, we'll pack away the camp and have our things ready to board the boat once again to return to Puerto Natales. Along the way we'll stop off at Estancia Perales, where we'll be served a BBQ "Patagonian style." Arrival at Puerto Natales 17:00 approx.

Spend 2 days exploring the Rio Serrano and its hanging glaciers with a local kayaking expert. You'll camp wild at night and enjoy a traditional lamb asado at an estancia before taking a boat trip back to Puerto Natales on day 2, you don't have to be an expert.
