Recommended maps of Torres del Paine to purchase
First of all a word of guidance for all of us used to Ordnance Survey. The 50m contours on these maps can hide some pretty interesting terrain. There are, for example, ravines on the trail to the East of the Grey Glacier that are a major undertaking but don't even get marked on the map. Also, the map makers have done an outstanding job of mapping this incredible area, but the discerning amongst you may well ask the odd questions when you're on the ground.
Without a doubt our preferred map of Torres del Paine, we have one on our wall and one for travelling (and actually a few spares should Stanfords be out of stock) is this one.
It's 1: 100,000 covers the main trekking area, but also the southern part of the park including the Serrano river and glacier, and includes estimated distances and times. It's also frequently updated.
Amazingly neither Stanfords nor Amazon seem to sell it online. However, it's often available in the Stanfords stores in London and Bristol. We have a few spare copies if you can't get your hands on it (and would just ask that you pick up a new copy when you're over there and send it our way on your return).
Of the ones that seem to be readily available online this one on the left from Zagier y Urruty does a good job.
