The Singular Hotel Patagonia
The newly opened Singular Hotel in Puerto Bories mixes local history with modern comforts and adventure, catering for people looking for that top-of-the-range Luxury holiday in Patagonia. It is set in the old 'Frigorifico Puerto Bories', a cold storage plant which dates from 1915 and was renovated, restored and declared a national monument in 1996.
The Singular opened its doors in late 2011, to reveal top of the range guest rooms, authentic but contemporary decor throughout, and the pièce de résistance; a modern spa, perfect for relaxing those weary legs after an adventure in the nearby Torres del Paine National Park. The hotel also boasts a museum which takes guests back in time to the local area and its people as they were a hundred years ago.
Choose from 54 rooms at the Singular, each measuring 45 square metres with a 6 metre-wide glass window, offering light, comfort, privacy and a calm atmosphere. Although each room has WiFi and a television, The staff at the Singular recognise you may want to 'disconnect' during your stay, so television sets can be removed from your room before you arrive. The aim of each room is to allow you to fully relax, which they achieve with large beds, traditional luxurious furniture and a view out over the Seno Ultima Esperanza Fjord in each room. Other comforts include:
- A seating area in each guest room,
- A spacious en-suite bathroom with separate shower,
- Choice of rooms with or without television,
- Rooms for disabled/wheel chair access.
The Singular prides itself on its excellent service, and authentic Patagonian experience delivered through its decor, cuisine and expeditions into Torres del Paine with expert English speaking guides.
