Day 2

Arrive in Chile, explore Santiago
Early morning arrival in Santiago. Stretch your legs with a relaxed walking tour and get a bite to eat. After lunch, settle in to your hotel and relax.
Day 3
Chile, Torres del Paine
Start the Circuit
Set off early for Torres del Paine. Walk in the shadow of mountains, crossing meadows and rivers. Stay tonight in Refugio Dickson.This hike is fully portaged so you carry just a day pack.

Day 4
Chile, Torres del Paine
Explore the area
Today’s walk is circular. Cross back over Lago Dickson to follow yesterday’s path back for 30 mins before turning off to walk around the edge of Lago Dickson and on to Lago Quemado. Return for a second night at Refugio Dickson.
Day 5
Chile, Torres del Paine
Walk through beech forests
The first two hours hours are uphill with great views back over Lago & Glacier Dickson. After this initial uphill stretch, the walk is mostly flat through the most beautiful mature forest in the park.
Walk 9km, 4.5hrs, up 400m, down 100m
Day 6

Cross the highest part
Cross the Paso John Gardner, the highest point of the circuit (1,210m). After four hours walking, some through snow, you will stand at the pass with the icefield below.

Day 7

Walk on a glacier
Relax this morning. This afternoon enjoy an unforgettable walk on top of the massive Glacier Grey. Each year the landscape on top of the glacier changes, sometimes you will see lots of deep crevasses, other times you will walk through tunnels.
Day 8

Walk with lake views
Start walking east across Torres del Paine as you leave the glaciers behind you to walk between lakes and mountains towards the dry grasslands.
Walk 11km, 4hrs, up 400m, down 400m
Day 9
Chile, Torres del Paine
Walk past mountains
Walk under the mountain of Paine Grande then a steady uphill and a steep downhill towards the shores of Lake Nordenskjold.
Walk 9km, 4hrs, up 200m, down 200m
Day 10
Chile, Torres del Paine
Walk past lakes
Continue your walk along a good path in the shadow of the mountains throughout today. You should see lots of condors as you pass beneath the high peaks.
Walk 13km, 5hrs, up 600m, down 300m
Day 11
Chile, Torres del Paine
Walk to the Torres
Early start to hike up to the small lake at the base of the towers – the culmination of your Torres del Paine walk. Return to sleep in a comfortable hotel.
Walk 16km, 7hrs, up 650m, down 900m
Day 12
Chile, Santiago
Travel to the capital
Travel up from the far south to the capital, Santiago. Today is a long travel day although the views are always a treat. Dress comfortably, relax and enjoy.
Day 13

Travel home
Leave Santiago today. Flight times vary as international flights are quoted separately for this holiday.
