Operator's Itinerary
Day 1 El Calafate - Puerto Natales. You should arrange your flight in order to arrive at Buenos Aires and connect the same day or the day after to El Calafate, where we'll be waiting for you to drive to Chile. After a 4 hours drive we'll arrive at Puerto Natales, a small village with colourful wooden houses by the fjord. Night in Hotel.
Day 2 Depart for Torres del Paine. We'll travel north (246 km/ 153 miles) to the entrance of the national Park. We will take the Catamaran on Lake Pehoe, 1hr. sailing. Approach Grey Glacier, 3 hrs walking. Lodging in Refugio Grey.
Day 3 Day hike to Refugio los Cuernos (Lodge). We'll hike along Lake grey and the north shore of Lake Nordenskjold for 6hrs.
Day 4 Hike to viewpoint through Valle Frances. We'll hike up to ¨El mirador¨ with a day pack only, as we will come back to the Refugio Los Cuernos. 7hrs trek.
Day 5 Hike to Refugio Las Torres. We will continue by the shore of Lake Nordenskjold until we reach Refugio Las Torres at the main entrance of the park, for an overnight stay. 4 hrs.
Day 6 Hike up Ascencio Valley. This is the most popular look out post at the base of the towers. We will return and spend the night at Refugio Las Torres.
Day 7 Transfer to El Chaltén. A transfer will take us back to Argentina and to El Chaltén, a small village created 15 years ago almost exclusively for climbers. The route is partly paved and partly still gravel. Night in a Hotel.
Day 8 Trek to Bridwell Camp. The route goes trough scattered lenga and ñire trees. After setting up the camp for that night, we will cross the river with a Tyrolean rope and do an amazing trek on the Torre Glacier, no doubt one of the wildest spots on Earth. Back to town, Dinner and Hotel.
Day 9 Trek to Poincenot Camp. We'll hike across Lagunas Madre e Hija, a green valley of Nothofagus trees, until we reach Poincenot camp, a beautiful campsite in the woods. 5 hours.
Day 10 Trek to Lago de los Tres. Lago de los Tres means Lake of the Three, the three impressive peaks, a glacier lagoon with a glacier behind it, a natural viewpoint of the granite Fitz Roy group. Hike back to El Chaltén.
Day 11 Transfer to el Calafate. We'll drive back to Calafate for our flight back home. End of the programme.

This operator is a partnership between an Argentinian and an American. They run moutaineering and trekking trips around the world, but with a focus on the Andes. Small enough that they are normally leading the trips themselves, and they pride themselves on their levels of customer service.
