Operator's Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Punta Arenas
Our guide will await you at Punta Arenas airport or pick you up in Punta Arenas city. Transfer to Puerto Natales in private vehicle (*), three-hour drive through the Patagonian pampa. Lodging in Puerto Natales. Meeting and discuss trip program. Dinner not included. Book any flight that arrives before 8pm at Punta Arenas airport (Chile).
Day 2: Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine Lookout
Before we leave Puerto Natales, you can store all your extra gear and clean clothes that you will not use during the trek with us. Leave in the morning in our private vehicle in the direction of the park. Arrival at Torres del Paine. Start hike to Torres del Paine lookout, one of the most spectacular views of the park. From here we can view the three granite pinnacles towering above a green, cirque-bound lake in a deep, narrow valley. The scene is one of intense past glaciations. Torres camp (Tent).
Snack and dinner. Note: During the trip, each breakfast is provided and included in the price, as well as one lunch during the long walks and dinners.
Day 3: Camp Serón
Begin our the Paine circuit. We carry our packs. There are approximately 4 hours until we reach Serón camp at the border of the Paine river, walking past beautiful beech forests. Set up our camp. Snack and dinner.
Day 4: Dickson
Leave in the morning towards camp Dickson. This trek goes along Paine river which takes approximately 4-5 hours. When arriving at our camp, we will be able to see the south continental ice cap for first time (Dickson Glacier). Stay at the refugio and dinner.
Day 5: Perros Camp
On this day we will initiate the path through one of the most beautiful places on this excursion. We will contemplate an impressive forest of Lengas and Coigues during this 4 hour walk, which will conclude with a spectacular view of the Perros Glacier calving directly into the small lake. Perros Camp. Dinner.
Day 6: Camp Grey
This is the longest trekking day of the circuit, which has one of the best views of the park. We gradually climb to the tree level then continue on to John Garner pass (difficult). Here there are awe-inspiring views of enormous Grey Glacier coming down of the southern ice sheet. From here we descend to the tree level and continue walking above the massive Grey Glacier, which fills the valley with heavily creased ice. We continue on to camp near Lake Grey, where the Grey Glacier calves into the lake. Camp. Snack and dinner.
Day 7: Camp Pehoe
After a restful morning we leave in the afternoon towards Lake Pehoe. Trekking with beautiful views of Lake Grey and its icebergs along the way. Camp Pehoe. Snack and dinner.
Day 8: Pehoe - French Valley – Cuernos refuge
Breakfast early in the morning. Trek to French Valley. After three hours we arrive at French Valley (Camp Italiano). From here, hike to lookout to contemplate one of the most dramatic peaks in Patagonia; we'll see Cuernos, Espada, Hoja, Mascara, Paine Grande, Aleta de Tiburón, Catedral and more. Back to camp Italiano. Continue the trek to Cuernos refuge (3,5 hours) Dinner.
Day 9: Cuernos – Las Torres – Puerto Natales
Breakfast. Last day trek to complete all circumnavigation of Paine Mountain Range, arriving at our original starting point camp Las Torres (5 hours). From here our vehicle will carry us to Puerto Natales. Hotel.
Day 10: Puerto Natales – Punta Arenas airport
Private transfer to Punta Arenas airport
Book any flight after noon. If your flight departs early morning we can arrange for your last night to be spent in Punta Arenas instead of Puerto Natales.
