Why do we do what we do?

This is what it’s all about…

[we recently contacted someone to ask about their trip – and have received the following reply…]

Luke and Charlotte – Hi!

Probably better if we talk as I can’t express my exuberance well enough by e mail to say we had a fantastic time in Patagonia both walking and paddling.  Not a complaint or criticsm of any sort but plenty of groans from my joints and me because every muscle aches.

The guys you work for are FANTASTIC and provide a faultless and very wonderful service.

It’s impossible to express the brilliance of teh whole holiday!

Thanks for all you did,

Our friends and family may think that we’re just in it for the trips to Patagonia, but reading emails like this makes us very happy indeed

Luke fell in love with Patagonia when he first trekked through the Andes some 15 years ago. In 2010 he founded Swoop Patagonia and since then has trekked, ridden and paddled thousands of miles throughout the region.

At home in Bristol he's a dad of three, and a keen trail runner and adventure racer.

It’ll be difficult to be brief! Everyone at Chile Nativo was excellent. Johanna was first rate in the office which meant that everything went smoother than clockwork. Faultless. Chino was a wonderful guide who has excellent ‘people skills’; he has first rate ‘óutdoor skills’ – we felt totally safe at all times. The food on our walk was better than one would hope to get at the Sheraton, (and we are vegetarians). Claudio and Dario, our porters were reliable and fun, they did a herculian job which meant that we only had to concentratre on enjoying ourselves and getting the most out of our trip. Thanks guys. At TuTravesia Herman, our paddling guide was determined to make sure we had the best, but safest trip down the rivers possible. And we did. We also enjoyed food which surpassed that of the Hilton with Herman. We paddled like the Titanic through icebergs but had more success with survival. It was exciting, fun, safe and stunningly beautiful. Javeria, his wife ensured the land based organisation went smoother than the waters we were guided across. Thanks Team! Both our trips – on land and on water were excellent and I’d have no hesitation in recommending any of these people to anyone. We couldn’t have hoped for better. Both companies provided excellent equipment, with TuTravesia being the only company to provide fantastic dry suits – which, having used a wet suit before, are surely the only ‘keep warm’ gear to use. Not a complaint or criticsm of any sort. Both companies attended so fantastically to detail and care that we had the best time ever! Thanks a lot folks!!

I’ve just left a comment but forgot to say that all our enjoyment would never have been possible without the very efficient help and work by Luke and Charlotte of Swoop Patagonia. We got great contacts, and were looked after very well by SWOOP. Thanks Folks!!
