- get feedback from hundreds of customers every year about their experiences in Patagonia
- visit Patagonia twice each year to check on our partners and explore new places
We support independent and self-guided trips, through to fully packaged and protected holidays. We listen to what we people want to see, do and experience before recommending trips, routes and tours. We work hard to offer suggestions for every age, budget and appetite for adventure.
Who's behind Swoop?
Luke Errington fell in love with Patagonia when he first went trekking in Patagonia some 15 years ago. In 2009 he founded Swoop Patagonia and since then has trekked, ridden and paddled thousands of miles through the Patagonian Andes.
He visits Patagonia twice each year to meet up with our local partners, check out new routes, hotels and services and continue to explore new possibilities across the region.
Back at home in Bristol he's a dad of three, and a keen trail runner and adventure racer.
On his last visit Luke climbed to within 500m of the summit of Aconcagua and ran a 3 day ultra-marathon around the volcanoes of northern Patagonia.
We're based in the United Kingdom, in Bristol, and love it when people come in and check out the maps and photos of Patagonia. If you're passing through the West Country then please do get in touch.
Sally is a true lover of all things Latin American with the Patagonian lakes and mountains as top of her list.
Having worked as an English teacher and Tour leader in Chile and Argentina throughout the last 8 years, Sally has a wide and diverse knowledge of Patagonia.
She has hiked and cycled throughout Patagonia for work and pleasure, and also loves nothing more than to end every trip to Patagonia with a juicy steak in the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires.

It seems Kerri was destined to travel to Patagonia. She fell in love with Torres del Paine National Park and her future husband (who happened to be her ice hiking guide) all in the same day!
Kerri lived in Puerto Natales from 2003 - 2011 where she worked for a couple of years as a guide for trekking Torres del Paine, before dedicating her time to helping other people plan and organise their own exciting adventures in this part of the world.
If you asked me where my favourite spots are in Torres del Paine, I would have to say there are many! Each day will surprise you with something different and amazing. One of those favourites is the French Valley with spectacular views all the way along which become more impressive the further you go especially the view from Camp Britanico whereby a great amphitheatre of mountains surround you!
There are few places in the world where you can tack one trip-of-a-lifetime straight onto another, but Susannah can testify that Patagonia is surely one of them.
In 2014, despite her longest journey on a bicycle prior to this being her daily commute to work, she rode a tandem bicycle with her husband down the length of the Carretera Austral and on to Tierra del Fuego. Finding they had time to spare they thought the most obvious thing to do was to carry on south, and so they booked themselves as last minute passengers onto a ship leaving for Antarctica.
This life-changing journey also included a chance encounter with the Swoop team in Antarctica and today Susannah is able to bring her knowledge of both destinations to her work helping the press and media understand and share the wonders of Patagonia and Antarctica. Journalists and bloggers can contact Susannah.

What our customers say?
Matt and Sarah returned in April 2014 from a trekking trip in Los Glaciares National Park: 'Swoop were excellent in every way- we would recommend them to anyone. They offered expert advice and it was clear from the outset that you specialise in this area. They were very responsive, friendly and considerate – we typically travel independently but it didn’t take long to realise the benefits of engaging with Swoop. I do hope we get the chance to return to the region and if so we’ll be sure to contact you again.' Read Matt & Sarah's review.
