Description

The Patagonian International Marathon is a running event that takes place within Torres del Paine National Park. The best known national park in South America, Torres del Paine is encompassed by massive glaciers, lakes and grand pillars of granite mountains that rise 2,500m above the race route.

Getting there

International flights from the UK to Santiago fly overnight and tend to arrive in the morning. From here you can take a connecting flight to Puerto Natales where the race HQ is located. Alternatively, you can fly from Santiago to Punta Arenas from where it's a 2½hr drive to Puerto Natales.

You can either stay in Puerto Natales for a night, or push on another 2½hrs into Torres del Paine National Park and stay at somewhere like Tierra Patagonia, Eco Camp or Patagonia Camp which are all close to the start locations of each race distance.

On race day, you need to be at the start line 1hr before the start. We will ensure you are in the right place at the right time.

Estimated trip costs are as follows:

  • Return flights from the UK to Santiago: USD $1,400
  • Return flights from Santiago to Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas: from USD $200
  • Accommodation pre- and post-race: USD $450
  • Budget for extra travel: from USD $400 per day.
